Formed in 1970 the Mid Canterbury Fire Brigades Sub Association has a proud history of tradition and service to it's 23 affiliated member brigades, the New Zealand Fire Service, the United Fire Brigades' Association of New Zealand, and the many communities of Canterbury.
The objective of the Mid Canterbury Fire Brigades Sub Association are to arrange activities and social events that stimulate interest and further enjoyment of Fire Brigades in it's area, to encourage activities between Sub Associations and active participation in the Canterbury Provincial Fire Brigade Association affairs.
